Happy New Year!!
I am excited to be serving as chapter president for 2018. As a long-time member of AFP, I am continually promoting its benefits and know that my personal growth in our profession is because of opportunities I have had, and connections I have made through my involvement in the Bluegrass Chapter. The longer I am involved the more I realize the great opportunities AFP has for and with our profession, our own organizations and each of us as professionals.
The board members are energetic, dedicated and actively working to plan exciting activities for the upcoming year. We are looking forward to a productive 2018. A major goal of the board is to provide our membership with engaging opportunities to learn and grow in our profession through outreach opportunities and educational offerings. We will also focus our time this year on developing a strategic plan for the next 3-5 years.
We are continuing efforts from the current strategic plan to strengthen the profession by educating the philanthropic community and growing our membership. We will work to expand our knowledge by providing relevant and comprehensive opportunities to all members and strengthen the foundation of our chapter with effective communication and leadership development opportunities.
I want to say a BIG thank you to 2016-2017 President Patrick Robinson for his leadership and dedication to the Bluegrass Chapter and our profession! He led with enthusiasm and commitment toward furthering the AFP mission. We are also appreciative of Past-President Mike Stratford’s work on the Mentor Program, the 2017 Board and our dedicated chapter administrator Karen Pack for their hard work over the past year.
I am grateful for the opportunity to lead our efforts this year and look forward to working with each of you.
