The College of Agriculture, Food and Environment is seeking an experienced philanthropy professional with a passion for agriculture and extension, the College Philanthropy Director Associate (Director of Extension Philanthropy). The Director of Extension Philanthropy will identify, cultivate, solicit and steward a portfolio of major gift individual prospects/donors that could include a select number of corporate/association partners—using a donor-centered philosophy to ensure a diverse and sustainable revenue stream to support the University’s strategic land-grant mission. The individual will work closely with the Director of Extension in identifying priorities. The individual will also create, and effectively recruit and manage a group of part-time area extension agents to help build local relationships and provide insight for prospect development. Duties include managing relationships with county extension offices and their staff to develop and strengthen relationships with these key stakeholders and serving as the Extension specialist for philanthropy. Extensive travel throughout Kentucky is required.
